Yearbook

This course will instruct the students in the processes that are necessary to create various types of publication. Special emphasis is placed on the writing and design skills that assist in the production of these publications. Adobe PhotoShop, InDesign, and Word are programs that will serve as instruments for the production of the Yearbook.  The actual layout of the 2015 Yearbook will take place on-line through Jostens Yearbook Avenue program.

 

Standards
1. Understands the characteristics and merits of one's own artwork and the artwork of others (Art Appreciation). 
2. Understands and applies media, techniques, and processes related to the visual arts. 
3. Knows how to use the structures sensory qualities, organizational principles, expressive features and functions of art. 
4. Knows a range of subject matter, symbols and potential ideas in the visual arts. 
5. Understands the visual arts in relation to history and cultures 

Grading 
Each completed assignment, test, or project completed during the semester will be worth a set number of points, and the student’s grade will be based on the percentage of total points earned.

1) Students should meet all assignment deadlines 
2) Students should ask for clarification of any assignment presenting problems 
3) Follow directions exactly as given 
4) Handle the equipment with care 
5) Attend regularly 
6) Have a positive attitude 
7) Come to class prepared to work
